Watson completed 19 of 29 passes for 230 yards, two touchdowns and two interceptions in Sunday's 28-14 loss to Pittsburgh. He added six rushes for 44 yards.
Analysis:
Watson had an up-and-down performance to close the 2022 season. He led a drive early in the second quarter that he concluded with a 10-yard touchdown pass, but he then followed that up with an interception on the following possession to change the momentum of the game. After returning from a more than year-long layoff, Watson has understandably shown rust across the final six games of the campaign. It remains to be seen whether he can regain the dynamic playmaking ability he showed while with the Texans, though he'll enter the 2023 season with key offensive playmakers such as Amari Cooper, Donovan Peoples-Jones and David Njoku still on the roster.
rotoWire
Watson completed nine of 18 passes for 169 yards, three touchdowns and no interceptions in Sunday's 24-10 win over the Commanders.
Analysis:
Watson attempted his fewest passes of the season, though it was by far his most efficient performance. He averaged 9.4 yards per attempt and also managed his first multi-touchdown performance of the campaign on strikes from 46, 13 and 33 yards away. Watson still appears to be working on finding a rhythm with his new team, though Sunday's performance was his most encouraging in a Browns uniform.
rotoWire
Watson completed 15 of 31 passes for 135 yards with no touchdowns and one interception in the Browns' 17-10 loss to the Saints on Saturday. He also rushed three times for 24 yards and a touchdown.
Analysis:
Watson's lackluster final line tells the story of how sluggish an offensive performance it was overall in the frigid conditions in Cleveland. Watson found his most success when targeting Amari Cooper, who he hit on six occasions for 72 yards, and he also put some points on the board with a 12-yard scoring scramble on the first play of the second quarter. However, success through the air was unsurprisingly elusive due to the weather and a stingy Saints secondary, leaving Watson with his third sub-200-yard effort in the first four games of his Browns career. The loss eliminated Cleveland from postseason contention, but Watson will aim to continue knocking off rust in a Week 17 road matchup against the Commanders on Jan. 1.
rotoWire
Watson completed 18 of 28 passes for 161 yards, one touchdown and no interceptions in Saturday's 13-3 win over the Ravens. He added six rushes for 22 yards.
Analysis:
The Browns were in a positive game script for much of the contest, which allowed them to run a balanced offense. Watson wasn't asked to carry the team as a result, though he still struggled to a subpar 5.8 yards per attempt. Despite the inefficiency, he didn't turn the ball over and also managed to connect with Donovan Peoples-Jones for a three-yard touchdown late in the third quarter -- Watson's second score in three games this season. While there have been glimpses of promise in the last two weeks, Watson has also been held below 200 passing yards in two of his three starts.
rotoWire
Watson completed 26 of 42 passes for 276 yards, one touchdown and one interception in Sunday's 23-10 loss to the Bengals. He added 33 yards on six rushing attempts.
Analysis:
After a shaky Browns debut last week, Watson looked marginally more comfortable in his second appearance. His first two passes went for gains of 18 and 13 yards, and he finished the first quarter with completions on all four of his attempts, though neither team produced any points. Watson's first touchdown pass in a Cleveland uniform came in the third quarter, when he found tight end David Njoku from 13 yards out, but Watson was picked off on the following possession. He's still shaking off the rust from his extended layoff, which will make Watson a risky fantasy option in Week 15 against the Ravens as many leagues begin their playoffs.
rotoWire
Cleveland head coach Kevin Stefanski that he'd feel comfortable calling designed runs for Watson in Sunday's game against the Bengals, Mary Kay Cabot of the Cleveland Plain Dealer reports.
Analysis:
The big topic coming out of Watson's season debut last week was the quarterback's rust. It showed. While he should improve with a game under his belt, Stefanski can't expect the Pro Bowl-version of the Watson. That means a heavy reliance on running back Nick Chubb and potentially Watson used as a runner at times. We'll see how it goes. "Game-plans change week to week. Sometimes it will call for him to run a lot. Sometimes it will call for him not to run at all," the coach said. Watson was a frequent runner while with the Texans -- sometimes out necessity -- and his legs may come back sooner than his arm.

FAQs
Is it worth keeping Deshaun Watson in fantasy? ›
In standard leagues where you only play one quarterback, no. Deshaun Watson is not worth taking up a spot on your bench that could easily house a player who can be a consistent contributor to your team. With two quarterbacks in deeper leagues, Deshaun Watson could be a player to look at in keeper leagues.
Is it worth drafting Deshaun Watson? ›Due to the uncertainty of the suspension, most of Watson's value is in dynasty leagues where players aren't solely focused on just the 2022 season. It is difficult at this juncture to draft Watson in best ball tournaments as he's likely to miss at least half of the season, which is a big blow to rosters.
When should I add Deshaun Watson? ›Watson is worth adding prior to Week 13 — especially if you are lean at quarterback and in playoff contention.
Is Deshaun Watson on the active list? ›Watson rejoins the Browns as they look to keep building momentum for a playoff push. Deshaun Watson is officially the Browns' starting quarterback. The Browns returned Watson to the active roster on Monday following the end of his 11-game suspension for violating the league's personal conduct policy.
Should I drop Watson? ›If the need arises to have that roster spot available again, dropping Watson is always a potential option. Of course, if you need help at the QB position in Weeks 11 or 12, Watson is not the solution there. Instead, you should look for potential streaming options to help you in the short term.

What to do with Deshaun Watson Dynasty? ›
So in dynasty fantasy football, if you do have Watson, I would find a manager that still believes that he is at that elite level and sell him for that elite price range. You may need to wait for a big game or two, but if you're able to sell him at those values you are removing risk from your roster.
Is Jameson Williams a sleeper? ›Lions rookie receiver Jameson Williams is the sort of deep sleeper who could help deliver a fantasy championship down the stretch. "He's fast,” Goff said, per Kyle Meinke of MLive.
Should I keep Deshaun Watson on my bench? ›Watson hasn't yet shown he's back to form, so the best bet is to keep in on the bench.

Don't draft a backup quarterback
Definitely get one before a backup tight end, too. But don't select one over valuable running backs and receivers. Remember, every round in a fantasy draft is important. Don't just go quarterback because you understand the position more.

Should you handcuff in Dynasty? ›In dynasty leagues, handcuffing your own RBs is important. Whereas in a redraft format, you might not want to burn two roster spots on what is essentially one player, dynasty leagues have 25+ roster spots. The opportunity cost of using multiple roster spots on one player is greatly reduced.
What is Deshaun Watsons favorite football team? ›Deshaun Watson loves Atlanta. It's his home.
Can you tank in Dynasty? ›There are two basic ways to deal with tanking in a dynasty league. The first is to change the consequences. Owners tank because the consequence of tanking— better draft position— is considered to be positive. If the anticipated consequences were not quite so rosy, fewer owners would tank.
